To the Honorable Ban Ki-moon

March 31, 2007

Dear Mr. Ban:

I am writing to express my deep concern over Iran’s refusal to suspend uranium enrichment despite international pressures through the United Nations Security Council.  You see, Mr. Ban, I have family in Israel and I am aware that of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad call for the genocide of Jews and the destruction of the State of Israel.  In my opinion, and in the opinion of much of the world, Iran’s nuclear capabilities together with the Iranian government’s attitude toward the existence of a Jewish state in the Middle East produce a situation of extreme danger and a definite cause for concern.  For this reason, I commend you, Mr. Ban, and the rest of the United Nations policy makers, for imposing sanctions on Iran and urge you to impose further sanctions if Iran does not immediately comply with the will of the international community.  I appreciate your immediate attention to this vital matter.

Sincerely,

G.H.
